Gunel Natiq
Gunel Natiq is a lawyer with more than seven years of professional experience, specialising in corporate and commercial law, cross-border transactions, tax matters and business disputes. She is a member of the Azerbaijani Bar Association.
Professional experience
Early in her career, Gunel gained experience in advising on commercial and civil disputes, preparing legal documents, and ensuring compliance with local legislation in the area of public procurement. She later joined the tax authorities, where she developed particular expertise in resolving complex legal issues arising from the application of tax legislation.
Gunel subsequently continued her career in the private sector, holding a senior position within a group of companies involved in the implementation of major projects of national significance. In this role, she developed extensive practical experience in advising on commercial contracts and protecting the company’s legal interests during contract negotiations; handling corporate reorganisations and matters relating to the registration of legal entities; managing legal and contractual risks throughout the lifecycle of major construction projects financed by international financial institutions; and resolving commercial disputes through negotiation, litigation and mediation.
